Aeronautical Chart Plant | A Globe Legacy

The Globe Building has been partnering with the Geospatial Community since its conception.

The building was home to the Aeronautical Chart Plant in the 1940s and 50s. The Aids to Navigation division of the Armed Air Forces worked around the clock, producing timely maps at an incredible pace to send to the war theaters of WWII.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of the St. Louisans working at the Chart Plant, the Ally forces secured victory. Not only that, the Aeronautical Sector was advanced in many vital ways.
